Colours for Mamod stationary's.

Mamod Red

There are quite a few shades of red paint that mamod used on there stationary engines. They ranged from a dark red from when Malins made engines for the hobbies company to a very orangey shade.

these are the closet matches I know of.

Halfords

• Ford radiant Red.
• Ford Rosso Red.

Plastikote

• Insignia Red.

Mamod 'Minty' Green

The shade green that mamod have used on engine frames has changed from the beginning, darkening towards the end. In the late 60's early 70's there was a hammered finish paint used on all the stationary's except the minors.

the closet match for the colour that is currently in production is Halfords Ford Highland green, but if you can get hold of Plastikote apple green (B50)  it is a much nice shade than the Halfords match.
